Strip Lash Application BAABS Style

Ladies, are you tired of struggling with the strip lash application? If so, you're not alone. Applying false lashes can be daunting, especially if you're a beginner. But fear not, with a little bit of patience and practice, you can master this skill and achieve stunning results every time. In this blog post, we'll share some helpful tips and tricks to make your strip lash application a breeze. So let's get started!

Step 1: Gather Your Tools

To start, you'll need a few essential tools. First, you'll need a pair of lash application tweezers or regular tweezers, this is a matter of personal preference, so use whatever feels comfortable for you. Then, grab your favorite pair of lashes, hopefully, they're BAABS Beauty lashes! We recommend the Babs Beauty lashes for their high-quality and affordable price. Lastly, you'll need lash glue, preferably white glue that dries clear for a seamless finish.

Step 2: Remove Lashes from the Packaging

To remove the lashes from their packaging, slide them down gently instead of snatching them off to avoid damaging the hairs or the band. Check for any glue residue on the band and remove it carefully with your fingers or nails. Avoid twisting or pulling on the lashes to prevent damaging them.

Step 3: Check the Length and Soften the Band

Place the lash application tweezers close to your lash line to determine if you need to trim the lashes. Trim any excess length to fit the shape of your eyes properly. To soften the band, pinch the lashes between your fingers and roll them back and forth gently.

Step 4: Apply Lash Glue

Apply lash glue to the band with a brush applicator, making sure to cover the entire band from tip to tip. Apply a thin, even layer of glue and wait for it to dry until it turns from white to clear but is still slightly tacky. Apply a second layer of glue for added hold and durability. Babs Beauty's white glue that dries clear is an excellent choice for beginners because it has a brush applicator, making it easy to apply. You can also try using a BAABS Quick Liner Adhesive Pen. This pen is an eyeliner in black or clear (we even have a blinged-out version) that you simply line your lash line and then press the lash into the liner (adhesive).

Step 5: Place Lashes

Now it's time to apply the lashes! You can either look straight ahead in the mirror or hold the mirror down and look down while applying them. The key is to find what works best for you and what feels most comfortable. Using your lash application tweezers or regular tweezers, place the lashes as close to your natural lash line as possible. Hold them in place for a few seconds until the glue sets. Start with the center of the lash and work your way outwards.

Step 6: Finishing Touches

Once the lashes are in place, use your fingers or tweezers to press the false lashes against your natural lashes. Use a lash curler to curl your lashes if desired, and apply mascara to blend your natural lashes with the false ones, however, if you wish to reuse them, do not use mascara.
